Weekenders

Step in for a weekend.
Stand out for a child.

Swimming, museums, street food, gigs, a wander around the city, or simply time together doing something new. As a Weekender, you’re matched with a child or siblings who would benefit from a bit of stability, fun and a trusted adult they can rely on. This isn’t full-time parenting. It’s about showing up consistently, building a genuine connection and being that supportive “cool aunt or uncle” figure in their corner.

We provide full training, ongoing support and everything you need to feel confident in the role. You bring your time, energy and care.

St David’s Fostering Service

Every child living with a foster family is provided with a nurturing environment in which to grow and thrive. Through a modernisation of placement approach we will provide open recruitment of foster carers focused on the needs of children and young people and we will support families who can nurture children living in Wales where a foster placement is needed.
